2nd Day of Tainan, Once we wake up...we ran to opposite our hotel, there is a confucian temple.
The beam is using round beam. Nowadays we using column plate to join column and beam but last time there using a very decorative like the dragon holding the beam. No wonder it takes more longer time to finish 1 temple.
Even the layout of the building is planning well.
The tree between the two building serve as a sun shaded corridor.
Another pagoda. Different from the pagoda at 228 peace park. This pagoda is much more simpler design.
From the photo we can see the roof construction clearly, explore drawing...
The temple roof a bit different with other we visit before, the roof pitch is less than other. I think that is Hakka or Cantonese style.

I am wondering, why the temple should paint in red colour? But the Dan Shui temple not all in red colour. Compare to Dan Shui Temple, confusian Temple look more planning, cause they consider the landscape planning in their design.
This is the Old Well. It located at the middle of the school and also the confusian temple.
this is the gate of the confusian temple, Because they need to built the road, so they move the gate to another side of the road. Last time who ever want to go to confusian temple the must come down from the horse at the gate to show their respect. Nowadays, do they still need to stop their car there and walk to the temple?
The School is very modern style as they combine jack roof system to the building and part of the building roof using solar panel. From out side, it seems like no air conditional provided. It using louvered and window for ventilation.
Previously the fencing is tall and block the view and access to the schoo. After that they change to soft and lower fencing. It giving a image that very welcome to the other people to look inside teh building. Without the fencing, the school become more kind and welcoming to the public. It kind of changing the serious way of the education department into a new face - kind,open minded.
From the facade of the building, we really hard to understand this is a church. It complretely different style from western or in our country. There is a new church in Petaling Jaya is built in Modern style and in Singapore most of the church are modern style. But at least the building not in Chinese style and there always a cross related design at the facade. But in here, it look really chinese traditional building which i though is a 公会。But maybe it is located in chinese area so that the building 随着入乡随俗也没错。
近水楼台，we go to visit the 妇女屋 just beside our hotel. The Building still under restoration. From here, we only know that how serious and hard for the restoration. It not just repaint the building, give a new constrution to the destroy part. It need to use the similar or origin of the original material so that it can keep their 面貌, not necessory 一模一样, but at least it not completely totally different.
See how they restore the building. And they open part of it to show to the public. Inside the K bracing and those timber all show to the public. I don't really understand the construction.

Before Restore have to learn to destroy. So that they can know what is the material so that they can get the material.
This is the model of the building. We can see that the new building attached to the old building and become part of the building. From outside, the old building like only a facade and there is few layer of facade to 包裹着 old building.
Normally the old building they will provide underground air ventilation. It also can see from Malaysia some important building like Pudu Jail. It for controling the humid of the floor.
This is the inner part of the building of the connection of old building and new building.
This is another building that we went pass by. The design a bit like US building. Some building like bank or serious buildng. The big column showing the grand of the building.
This building is the 天气台.
Beside this building there is a new 天气台，the building is respond to this building so that the building built in 梯田 shape to follow the contour, the sky line of the building .
This is the 快铁 station. 乍看之下，it looks like Kl Sentral. The skylight not directly but open as Jack roof pattern. It can limit the ligthing come in. The pattern of this sky light like a leave. Very asthetic. Out Kl sentral Skylight abit like 防蚊子的盖子, I think the function is for creating pattern for the lighting come in.

The Wall is using concrete and the roof is using timber. 在保存古迹的同时，充分利用古迹作为礼堂的点子非常善于利用。非常日本特色的屋顶跷跷，有日本武士时期的建筑风格 ( Himeji Castle 那个时代，那样的风格)

The social life in here is totally different from Taipei. Taipei is more high tech and here is more down to earth.
